I found a piece of mail for me on the counter when I got home today. It said ‘Dean’s List’ on the outside… what’s the point in opening the envelope ISU? Huh? You already killed the moment.. but hey! I made Dean’s List! Congrats Breida, here’s a pat on the back, keep it up.

Well Kellen and his girlfriend Katie decided to part ways. A few tears fell from my eyes and I’ve realized I really just want my brothers to be happy. Nothing but a simple wish that they’re happy through finding something that they love to do and someone that they love to be with.

On a happy note, he’s planning to come visit me in Sweden this upcoming semester :).

I’ve got lots of learning to do.

// The Best Summer.//

While my high school is still in session, I feel like I have a pretty great summer already under my belt. I’ve; been to Georgia, gone out to eat way too many times, gone camping, had a picnic at Severson Dells, touched fish at Anderson Gardens, laid out in my yard/pretend beach, seen a great friend graduate while sitting in a sauna, had forgetful nights, played many tennis matches, been to a farmers market. This is easily the best start to summer I’ve ever experienced and it’s only May. I. Love. Summer. Especially this one.

This last goodbye song was probably the most touching moment on SNL.

I can’t wait for her to be in more movies and shows in the future. Everything she does is hilarious.

// What Happens in Georgia.//

Friday: Arrive. Uncle Keith’s office. Shooting range. Jim ‘N Nicks BBQ. Movies all night.

Saturday: Uncle Keith’s birthday. Dinosaur pancakes. Skype Joey. Boat. Tube. Pelican Pete’s on the lake. Neighborhood Mexican party.

Sunday: Mother’s Day. Church. Grill out. Bananagrams.

Monday: Boat. Ski. Tube. Ruby Tuesday’s. Frozen yogurt. Bananagrams.

Tuesday: Hike with Aunt Connie. Fly home.

I absolutely love visiting my aunt and uncle at their home in Georgia. The weather was a little crappy at only 70-ish degrees and quite rainy but it was a great time nonetheless. Aren, Kellen, and I flew down, spent the extended weekend hanging out with the aunt and uncle, eating way too much, and boating. Can’t wait to head back south in a couple years :).

// Redbirds Fly.//

I spent the past few days in Georgia visiting my aunt and uncle with Kellen and Aren and the trip was just lovely :). On the way to our gate in the Atlanta airport I spotted a guy I met once at ISU, although he was rather intoxicated when we did meet so he probably doesn’t remember me but I was wearing an ISU tee… what a crazy coincidence!

// Dear Freshman Year.//

You weren’t really what I expected, but in most ways you were better than what I expected. Thanks for the memories. Thanks for the wonderful new friends. I can’t believe you’re over, but I’m glad you are because this summer is going to probably going to top you, no offense.

Much Love,

Breida
